Alain Rousseau is a French private investigator (or private research agent according to official terminology), born in 1952 in Caudéran in Gironde.
After his schooling with Marianists, Alain Rousseau obtained a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and literature at the age of 16 and began studying economics.
He then performed his national service and then worked as an executive and company executive before setting up in 1985 a detective agency, the Aquitaine Consultants agency in Bordeaux.
He is known in particular by thecase of Tais, the young man who died in 1993 in a cell of the Arcachon police station, a case in which he was required by the victim’s parents to carry out a criminal counter-investigation in order to obtain the reopening of the case. With more than 2,600 investigations carried out to date, he is also regularly appointed as an expert by orders of the Bordeaux Commercial Court to carry out investigations in the context of judicial liquidations.
Alain Rousseau is the author of two studies on the profession of detective.
The first, Legal Value, Utility and Use of the Detective Report, was published in 2000 on the Net-Iris website and the second, The Detective’s Intervention as a Technician in Forensic Liquidation Procedures, was published on the same website in 2007.
He runs a blog, Detective in Bordeaux,and leads a group on Facebook, Pascal Taïs, the truth!
